    Dick Ainsworth  -- VR rendering with Adobe Lightroom to adjust
    exposure and extend dynamic range, stitching in PTGui, and final
    adjustments in Photoshop.     The evenly lit interior shown in the
    final projections was fabricated almost entirely by extensive
    adjustments of the original CAVEcam images.  White balance was
    adjusted to compensate for the various light sources.  Overall
    exposure was adjusted specifically to balance the far-ranging
    light levels.  And color correction in Photoshop matched the
    various hues in the scene.  Since I was not present at the shoot,
    I had to guess at setting the color renderings -- especially that
    of the "white" walls.  The overall effect is pleasing, convincing,
    and probably worth the six hours it took to create.

Description:
    This is the inside of the meeting hall in Ushaiger Village.
    Ushaiger is one of the oldest towns in the Saudi region of Najd
    and it was a major stopping point for pilgrims coming from Kuwait,
    Iraq and Iran to perform Hajj or Umrah. It was mostly abandoned 50
    years ago, but is now being reconstructed and people have started
    to move back in. Also see

    ... 200 kms each way of easy highway from Riyadh. As part of a
    training exercise for a group of scientists and engineers from
    KACST in Riyadh, Tom DeFanti and Andrew Prudomme went with the
    group to shoot these CAVEcams and also attempt some structure from
    motion (SfM) image capture. Thanks to Saleh Al-Harti, Mohammed
    Alfarhan, Azzam Asuhaibani, and Badr Altasan of KACST who got us
    to this amazing museum, and helped us photograph this
    reconstructed town.
